Workshop: Decoding Sacred Places with Curanderismo Techniques
Curandera Paloma Cervantes is going to teach students how to feel, connect, read and decode sacred places like pyramids, glyphs, and stelas, which are large stone slabs (up to tons) that have glyphs and pictures carved into it. During our class, students are going to learn how to enter sacred places to awaken the spiritual energies and guardians of the place so that as spiritual practitioners we can communicate with them.
This is a spiritual adventure to Quintana Roo, Mexico located in the Mexican Caribbean. It is the land of the Mayan Indians and the ancient Mayan civilization. Every day we will have class and then we will travel to do our spiritual practices in special locations such as the jungle, the Mayan pyramids, cenotes or the Caribbean Sea.
We will stay in remote and secluded places in order to be close to and visit pyramids and sacred Mayan. Because of the nature of our workshop which is “Discovering the Hidden Messages and Secret Messages of Sacred Spaces,” we are not disclosing our locations. We want it to be a surprise for you. If you are planning to come, the less that you know about the Mayan civilization the better.
The Plan
As with all our workshops and retreats, we do a lot of spiritual practice so be prepared to be active in your learning and practice.
During our retreats we will eat healthy, abstain from alcohol, recreational, and other spiritual drugs. There will be no bad language and most important of all, we will have lots of fun and laughter.
Everyone helps with everything. Usually, we buy our own food and prepare our meals together.
We will begin our adventure as a group at the airport in Chetumal, Quintana Roo, México and spend the first night in Chetumal. You will be with bilingual people all the time, so it is not required that you speak Spanish.
Next day, early in the morning we are going to travel for almost two hours to a location in the jungle where we are going to stay in a rustic hotel or at an Airbnb. In that location we will spend several days having our workshop, visiting Mayan sites and exploring the jungle.
Then we will travel to the Caribbean Sea to another remote location where we are going to stay several days to carry on with our workshop, spiritual practices, have ceremonies, visit the famous Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, Bacalar Lagoon, the Cenote Azul and have the opportunity to enjoy the beach. Aquatic activities like snorkeling, paddle boarding, swimming with the dolphins are optional.
This area has the second largest coral reef in the world. Beautiful for snorkeling and scuba diving. If you are a certified scuba diver these places are absolutely beautiful and a must for people interested in scuba diving. The water is crystal clear and the temperature is warm. If you are more adventurous, there are amazing night cavern or cave diving trips. If you don’t know how to do Scuba diving, you can take an introductory class and go with an instructor diving to a very safe and shallow place.
When our workshop is over, we will go back to Chetumal to catch the airplane back home. For those of you that can stay a little longer, we will have the opportunity to travel to San Pedro, a beautiful Caribbean island in Belize and also to Cozumel, another beautiful Caribbean island in México.
